With its gothic towers and cloistered walks, its open meadows and tree-lined paths, Bryn Mawr College is a magical place in any season.

For one week each summer, though, that term applies in a different sense.

Each July since 2006, the campus has been host to Tannen’s Magic Camp, a unique training ground for aspiring magicians, ages 12 to 20.

For those seven days, they come from far and wide to hone their skills in sleight of hand and stage performance – and as a new documentary film makes clear – to learn lessons about themselves that may be just as important.
